Henry Elias ran the brewery on New York’s 54th Street. Suffering from depression and in excess of drink, the 37 year old attempted suicide in his home by cutting his throat with a pocket knife. From the New York Times dated December 11, 1894, “he was not removed to a hospital, but was kept a prisoner at his home, under the care of his family doctor and in the custody of a policeman.” Elias brewing was one of dozens of New York City based breweries that couldn't survive Prohibition.

Like the brewers we pay homage to, our product is made in America. These 100% cotton tees are garment dyed with a water based print and vintage wash for a soft feel and comfortable fit.
