Angeles Brewing Co. A chain-stitch patch
The Angeles Brewing Company suffered from a string of bad luck and setbacks that prevented it from ever becoming a major brewery. It's founder died before construction of the brewery was completed and the steamship it used to transport beer around the Puget Sound was involved in numerous collisions with other vessels (once while illegally transporting dynamite). In 1911 many Washington counties voted to go dry effectively eliminating much of their sales territory. The brewery struggled on until 1915 but folded as it became clear Washington would approve statewide Prohibition.
