There were three generations of famous Ortlieb's involved in brewing in Philadelphia's Northern Liberties neighborhood. The brewery fought the good fight. Henry's son Joe bucked the trend and their brands outlasted most other regional breweries, touting their brew as local beer well into the late 70's.
